Kentro is hiring a Journeyman Project Manager/Scrum Master to support the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Enterprise Data and Analytics Team (EDAT). This role is responsible for leading Agile delivery efforts, managing complex technical projects, and enabling data-driven capabilities across the USASOC enterprise. The ideal candidate will bridge leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and mission-focused solutions in a dynamic operational environment. Location: Hybrid at Fort Bragg, NC (Fayetteville, NC)

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Required Certifications: One or more Agile certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in project management, Agile delivery, or Scrum Master roles
  • Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Experience managing data, analytics, or software development projects
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • TS/SCI
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting USASOC or Special Operations Forces (SOF) environments
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • Familiarity with data platforms, data engineering, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with Azure / cloud environments
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and secure data practices
  • Experience working in SCIF environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Agile teams supporting EDAT initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of data and analytics solutions
  • Serve as Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Manage project scope, schedule, resources, risks, and dependencies across multiple efforts
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and data teams to define priorities and deliverables
  • Drive Agile best practices and continuous improvement across the team
  • Track and report project status, metrics, and risks to leadership
  • Ensure alignment with DoD cybersecurity requirements and enterprise architecture standards
  • Remove impediments and proactively resolve issues impacting team performance
  • Support DevSecOps and CI/CD processes to streamline delivery pipelines
  • Mentor junior project managers, Scrum Masters, and team members
