About The Position

As a Journeyman Lineman, you’ll play a key role in building, maintaining, and repairing our electric distribution system — both overhead and underground. You’ll work with a team that values safety, skill, and service, ensuring our members have the power they depend on every day.
This is a bargaining unit position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited four-year apprenticeship program
• Four years of progressive experience in electric line construction and maintenance (preferred)
• Knowledge of RUS specifications, transformers, substations, and line equipment
• Valid Indiana Class A CDL
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and safety-first mindset
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions and meet physical job requirements
• Residency within the service area required within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

• Four years of progressive experience in electric line construction and maintenance (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Constructing, operating, and maintaining electric distribution lines and equipment
• Responding to outages and restoring power safely and efficiently
• Leading or supporting apprentices and groundmen when needed
• Ensuring all work follows safety regulations and cooperative standards
