About The Position

We are seeking a technically strong Information Security Analyst – Lead to support federal security control assessments within the IRS environment.
This role is responsible for leading the execution of NIST-based security assessments across enterprise systems, including modern cloud and hybrid architectures. You will evaluate control effectiveness, validate remediation efforts, and guide junior analysts through complex technical reviews.
If you enjoy digging into controls, validating risk posture, and strengthening system security in a federal mission environment, this is a role with real impact.
This position is being recruited for upcoming work supporting the IRS and is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of information security experience
• Experience conducting technical assessments or vulnerability analysis
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and federal security standards
• Security+ CE certification (required)

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Security Assessment Plans and Reports
• Conduct technical testing of security controls
• Assess cloud and Zero Trust implementations
• Validate remediation and corrective actions
• Mentor junior assessment team members
