Journeyman Electrician
About The Position
What you will do- - Installs, maintains, inspects, and repairs electrical distribution systems, electrical motors, generators, armatures and other electrical equipment - Installs, maintains, inspects and repairs climate systems - Completes assignments using written or verbal instructions, sketches or blueprints - Installs, maintains, inspects and repairs the distribution and lighting systems for all Authority facilities including: residential, commercial or industrial buildings - Tests and troubleshoots electrical systems and related apparatus to locate malfunctions. Reads and interprets prints and plans to complete repairs and installations. Conducts sweeps to identify or locate existing distribution feeds - Follows accepted trade practices in compliance with national and local building and safety codes during the performance of all job functions - Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency and Completion of an Electrician’s Apprenticeship program or its equivalent
- ST of MI Licensed Electrician Journeyman
- ST of MI Master Electrician
- ST of MI Driver License and a safe, acceptable driving record. If current driver's license is issued in another state, a Michigan driver's license must be obtained within four (4) months of job start date.
- Have Basic Computer Skills
- Proficient with Email software/systems
