We are seeking a dedicated Journeyman Electrician for 2nd & 3rd Shift to join our dynamic maintenance team at TC Transcontinental. In this full-time role, you will perform essential electrical and electronic repairs, installations, and adjustments on industrial equipment used in the production of flexible packaging. Our collaborative team of maintenance mechanics and electricians work together to ensure our state-of-the-art equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. We have been driving innovation since 1976. Requirements

  • A valid electrical license from the State of Michigan or Township.
  • Proficiency in the National Electrical Code and industrial electrical equipment.
  • Expertise in PLC operation, solid-state components, AC/DC drive troubleshooting, and control wiring.
  • Experience with electronic board repairs and preventative maintenance for industrial equipment.
  • Skills in using testing equipment, oscilloscopes, and Panel Views.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using machine error messages, test results, and operator feedback.
  • Interpret and utilize technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and logic schematics.
  • Collaborate with skilled trades to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to enhance equipment longevity.
  • Maintain meticulous records for all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment in compliance with the food packaging industry standards.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to drive continuous innovation within the company.
