About The Position

We're looking for a powerful communicator who knows how to turn facts into feeling. Someone who can capture hearts, move people to action, and craft narratives that make the work matter. Your words will help raise awareness, generate donations, and bring our brand's story-and the stories of the children we serve-to life. You'll be part of a team that's changing lives through words and action. You'll learn how to craft messaging that not only informs but transforms-driving support, connection, and impact. You'll grow as a writer, creative, and changemaker, while helping us share the kind of stories the world needs more of. 15-20 Hours Per Week

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM
  • Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count)
  • If Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • MUST have a Work-Study Award.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling campaign copy across email, web, social, and print
  • Capture and document the brand's story, achievements, and ongoing mission
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Marketing Lead to build powerful messaging and creative materials
  • Help develop and refine offerings, programs, and services that add value to our community and supporters
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to craft high-converting offers that resonate emotionally and practicall
  • Assist in the creation of donor decks, outreach materials, website content, and physical products
  • Interview team members, community leaders to develop first-person narratives that amplify our cause
