Key Responsibilities: The qualified applicant will support the Space Warfighting Analysis Center’s (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in Chantilly, VA with anticipated travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) in support of the SWAC’s priorities. The applicant will work closely with the SWAC program offices, Department of the Air Force Headquarters, and the Joint Staff to model joint operational scenarios, missions, and interdependencies at multiple classification levels. The qualified candidate may support SWAC Force Design through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts to include: capturing joint operational scenarios, missions, and interdependencies in SysML and/or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) using CAMEO; translating operational analytic models and outputs into dynamic SysML and/or UAF models using CAMEO; understanding and integrating models both from within SWAC program offices and from analytic partners across the services; supporting maintenance and standardization of models in a SWAC Digital Engineering Library. The qualified candidate may support SWAC Force Design through MS&A efforts to include: developing models in Operations Analysis (OA) tools such as Systems Toolkit (STK), Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), and others; supporting execution of analytic tradespace studies at the mission and campaign levels within the integration layer; supporting development of analysis scripts using standard data processing tools such as MATLAB, Python, and R. The qualified candidate will be the MBSE and/or MS&A expert during engagements with DAF, Joint Staff, and other DoD organizations. The candidate will translate complex technical information into products that communicate effectively to non-subject matter experts and will prepare correspondence and other documentation (formal letters, position papers, reports).
