About The Position

The Transfer Car Operator will be responsible for moving corrugated sheets to distribute the stock onto the proper conveyor lines using a variety of machinery, including transfer cars, forklift & pallet jack. This person will also be responsible for following machine center schedules and ensuring the stock is available at those machine centers when needed.

Pay Rate: Training $ 27.82 Qualified $ 29.86

Work Hours: 12 Hour Shifts 2-2-3 Schedule 6am to 6pm

Requirements

• Safety-sensitive position: ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel and bend over for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly if necessary
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs
• Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
• Ability to effectively work in teams
• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
• Ability to read a tape measure/ruler
• Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job

Responsibilities

• Load each machine center or out-take line correctly
• Identify unit height requirements for unitizer detectors
• Distribute stock to machine centers
• Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements— quality is the responsibility of all employees
• Operate a forklift
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
