About The Position

Participate in person centered planning by facilitating the development of Individual Program Plans for individuals, taking into account an individuals’ skills, strengths, weaknesses, and interests. Assist in training to assure that individuals receive the training necessary to achieve the goals/objectives set forth in their Individual Program Plan Develop job leads for individuals based on their wants, needs and abilities Secure job placements for clients Provide on-the-job training Arrange for and/or provide transportation to individual clients, as needed Develop and maintain relationships with employers to ensure a positive work environment for individuals Provide follow-up services to individuals to ensure job retention Follow all company policies/procedures To actively participate in staff meetings Serve as on-call (24 hour emergency) staff , as needed Complete all required documentation and paperwork Generate new employers through the use of targeted leads, referrals, field prospecting and direct contact – includes outside sales Monitor your job development performance to ensure that goals assigned are met or exceeded so as to earn commission All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience(employment or volunteer) in the field of counseling, job development, job coaching, employment, education or public rehabilitation or Associates Degree and 2 years of experience in the above mentioned fields or a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years experience in the above mentioned fields.
  • Valid/clean Florida Driver’s License– valid automobile insurance –-- driving involved
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good sales skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and remain calm and professional
  • Must work well with others as part of a team
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Must be computer literate
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe and appropriate manner utilizing standard orientation techniques.
  • May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting, standing and/or squatting in performance of job duties.
  • Must be able to hear see, and communicate effectively in writing, using the English language, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff, exercising effective problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
