About The Position

The Job Developer will serve in this capacity for the Learn and Earn Program. Overall responsibilities include: Programmatic Duties • Lead work readiness training component. • Coordinate the participant and worksite orientation and placement. • Ensure that all worksite folders are complete, regularly updated and maintained in accordance with DYCD requirements, i.e. pre-assessment and assessment reports; licenses; trip schedules; application; assurances, etc. • Review participant timesheets for accuracy; maintain participant timesheets and attendance in accordance with DYCD policy and procedures. • Log participant timesheets in respective rosters for tracking purposes, and enter into DYCD online database system by given deadlines. • Prepare all back-pay requests and submit to Program Director for approval. • Inform Program Director of all changes/updates relating to participants and worksites in order to ensure accurate record keeping. • Assist Program Director with preparation and facilitation of participant debit card distribution. • Enter program data into DYCD online database system on a daily basis. • Provide support to the Case Manager with college and general career counseling. • Assist with any program activity deemed necessary by the Program Director. Monitoring Duties • Develop and establish challenging and meaningful internships and worksites that align with participants’ career interests. • Review worksite agreements and attachments for thoroughness prior to the beginning of scheduled work experiences. • Conduct worksite pre-assessments for each worksite prior to the start of scheduled work experiences, deeming it acceptable to have participants placed there throughout the program period. • Complete worksite assessment reports on a bi-weekly basis and enter them into the DYCD online database system. Review and ensure that each worksite has the following documents for participants placed at their site: participant worksite referral, monitoring log, worksite participant assignments roster, evaluations, and weekly timesheets. • Support the worksite supervisor in ensuring smooth program functioning throughout the program. • Obtain weekly timesheets from worksites. • Maintain communication with worksites throughout program period and provide ongoing support to ensure success. • Report all concerns and violations to Program Director and conduct follow up as needed; follow-up on participant issues encountered throughout the work experience.

Requirements

  • Must have at least three years of successful and relevant experience connecting youth to workplace experiences, employment engagement, and/or college counseling.
  • Must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records, complete necessary paperwork, and meet prescribed deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma/HSE required; college experience preferred.
