This is a full-time, in the office, position focused on projects in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in construction accounting or job costing
  • Strong understanding of: Cost codes and job costing systems Construction project lifecycle
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formula)
  • Experience with construction software (Acumatica, Procore, Sage300, Viewpoint)
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Cost Tracking & Reporting Monitor job costs
  • Maintain job cost reports and cost codes
  • Budget Management Compare actual costs to project budgets and estimates
  • Assist in forecasting final project costs
  • Variance Analysis Data Management Ensure accurate entry of invoices, purchase orders and timesheets
  • Maintain job cost systems
  • Collaboration Work with project managers to review financial performance
  • Support accounting with month-end closing and Work in Progress Reports
  • Process Improvement Help refine cost tracking systems and reporting methods
