Job Controller / Production Planner Manufacturing | ERP / MRP | Monday–Friday American Products is seeking a detail‑driven Job Controller / Planner to support our manufacturing operations and ensure smooth, efficient job flow from order creation through shipment. This is a full‑time, Monday–Friday role with occasional overtime during month‑end close. What You’ll Do Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Job Controller / Planner plays a critical role in coordinating job orders, material flow, and production documentation across all manufacturing departments. Key responsibilities include: Manage and process job orders for fabricated and manufactured parts Monitor job order performance and proactively drive material through all work centers Collaborate with Programming, Inventory, Fabrication, Assembly, Scheduling, and Design teams Analyze job queues and create job orders to meet production demand Maintain accurate inventory and costing by closing job orders on time Interpret bills of material, routings, and job orders within ERP/MRP systems Support make‑vs‑stock decisions and communicate job status to department leaders Partner with Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, and Accounting teams, including month‑end close support What We’re Looking For Education High school diploma or GED preferred; some college a plus Experience & Knowledge Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook ERP/MRP system experience required (SyteLine experience a plus) Manufacturing environment experience; lean manufacturing exposure preferred Skills Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Professional communication and teamwork abilities Dependable, flexible, and willing to support business needs Curiosity and motivation for continuous learning and improvement Physical & Safety Requirements Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel‑toe boots Why Join American Products?
