We are headquartered in Miami, FL, with a strong South American team, and have clients and partners in the US market across multiple industries. We are looking to expand our roster with a Java Solution Architect located in Latin America to join a client-facing team through a staff augmentation engagement. This role requires deep expertise in backend architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise-grade platforms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can design scalable, high-performance systems while guiding engineering teams and collaborating closely with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 4+ years in Solution Architecture or Technical Leadership roles
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot in production environments
• Proven experience designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka preferred)
• Strong experience with AWS or other cloud environments
• Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and system reliability
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
• Advanced English communication skills (client-facing role)
• Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with Pacific Time

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Exposure to React or TypeScript
• Experience integrating AI-driven or ML-based components
• Background in high-traffic or enterprise-scale platforms
