About The Position

GetInsured is the leading provider for state-based marketplace technology with more experience than any technology provider transitioning states off healthcare.gov and implementing exchanges. We are dedicated to helping as many Americans as possible easily find and enroll in affordable health insurance. We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with 3-4 years of experience to join our talented team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Java development, Spring framework, web services using REST/SOAP, SQL databases, and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 3-4 years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong experience with the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• Proficiency in SOAP web services and related protocols
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for learning and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications
• Implement/maintain web services using REST/SOAP protocols
• Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
