About The Position

The Java Developer position at BCforward involves working as a full stack engineer to support Financial Center modernization efforts. The role requires hands-on experience with various technologies to develop and troubleshoot applications that enhance client servicing capabilities. The developer will be part of a small, technically proficient team, responsible for the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment, while ensuring best practices in product development and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree is required.
• Strong experience with UI technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Handlebars.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle.
• Strong problem-solving and triage skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and prototype complex Java/J2EE applications.
• Participate in the full application life-cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to app store.
• Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates.
• Drive a best practices approach to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
• Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues while managing competing priorities.
