About The Position

FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. with some of the best and brightest people in the business! We are looking for an individual with janitorial experience to join our growing team in our Distribution Center in Elgin, IL. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes. Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers. Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly. Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment. Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials. Cleans floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned. Performs other essential janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and stocking in the facility as required. Painting, sweeping, mopping. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive professional relationships. Performs other related duties as assigned. Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods. Pull and organize branch and customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned. Manually, load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices. Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas. Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags and labels. Clean and maintain supplies, tools and equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Requirements

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Minimum of 2 year experience in shipping, receiving, shipment auditing, inventory control and stock replenishment
Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time.
The majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs.
OSHA approved steel-toed safety shoes required from the first day on the job.
