We are looking for an individual with janitorial experience to join our growing team in our Distribution Center in Elgin, IL.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in shipping, receiving, shipment auditing, inventory control and stock replenishment
  • Janitorial experience highly preferred.
  • Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time.
  • The majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs.
  • OSHA approved steel-toed safety shoes required from the first day on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes.
  • Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
  • Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly.
  • Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment.
  • Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials.
  • Cleans floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned.
  • Performs other essential janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and stocking in the facility as required.
  • Painting, sweeping, mopping.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive professional relationships.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods.
  • Pull and organize branch and customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned.
  • Manually, load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
  • Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags and labels.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools and equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
