About The Position

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing janitorial operations across assigned facilities, ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met. This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating schedules, training new team members, and supporting hiring efforts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role
  • Prior supervisory experience leading a janitorial or facilities team
  • Ability to work effectively with staff and management
  • Willingness to learn and implement new cleaning techniques
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs, walk, and stand for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support janitorial staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety
  • Establish and manage cleaning schedules and procedures for each facility
  • Interview, train, and onboard new janitorial team members
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires
  • Identify and adopt improved cleaning methods and best practices
  • Coordinate special projects and respond to facility needs as they arise
