This position will be directly responsible for the overall operation and supervision of a janitorial staff at an assigned location. The supervisor will establish and maintain strong client relationships, serve as the main point-of-contact for client liaisons, and ensure quality standards are met and service issues are promptly resolved. Key responsibilities include providing leadership and support, being available for emergency and off-hour support, and promoting a strong safety culture. The role involves planning and assigning work schedules, ensuring timely responses to emergency cleaning situations, and training staff on building security protocols, standard and non-standard cleaning methods, proper utilization and storage of cleaning supplies/chemicals (including SDS and OSHA requirements), and safe operation of all cleaning equipment. The supervisor will also manage janitorial and porter staff, continuously monitor employee timekeeping, identify opportunities to increase revenue through additional project work, and arrange for staff substitutions or perform work personally when absences occur.
