The Janitorial Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities while supporting a diverse workforce. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GEDrequired.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, floor care, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to safely use industrial cleaning products and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and presenting information to groups.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Experience working with and supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability tomaintainprofessionalism and a positive image with clients, staff, and the public.
  • Must be able to obtain andmaintainrequired background checks/credentials.
  • Havea valid driver's license and be insurable under Didlake's automobile policy. Requirements include but are not limited to a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving and being at least 25 years old.
  • Access to the work site for this position requires avalid Real ID.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of custodial or janitorial experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, assign, and oversee daily cleaning operations to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met.
  • Inspect completed work and address performance, quality, and service issues as needed.
  • Supervise, coach, and support staff, including performance management, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor attendance, tardiness, and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment;submitrepair and supply requests as needed.
  • Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Rehabilitation staff to support individual program plans and workplace accommodations.
  • Provide leadership that promotes teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Oversee specialized floor care operations, includinghard surfaceand resilient flooring in commercial or federal environments.
  • Assistwith interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations.
  • Address employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Completerequired reports, documentation, and trainingin accordance withcompany standards.
  • Maintain professional conduct and ensure team adherence to company policies.
