About The Position

Are you a cleaning professional with an eye for detail and a knack for leading others? We are seeking a Janitorial Operations Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning tasks, ensure high-quality standards across multiple facilities, and assist management in coordinating special projects. This is a "working supervisor" role. You will be on the front lines performing general cleaning duties while also serving as a key point of contact for staff, helping to resolve issues and ensuring every building meets our safety and cleanliness scope.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous janitorial experience is preferred.Previous experience in a supervisor role a plus.
  • Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and reliable transportation to travel between sites.
  • Communication: Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions and provide clear feedback to management and clients.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to learn basic cleaning principles, understand identification numbers/volumes for chemicals, and master the use of PPE.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to fill in at any site as needed and handle evolving client requirements.
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Environment: Work occurs in various settings, including schools and industrial plants. Exposure to outdoor elements and infectious waste (with proper training and PPE) is possible. Noise levels are generally moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Operations & Leadership: Coordinate with employees to complete daily tasks and special projects. Assist the Account Manager in ensuring all sites are cleaned according to the client’s scope of work.
  • Hands-on Cleaning: Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, and trash/cardboard removal.
  • Project Work: Assist with heavy-duty tasks such as floor scrubbing, carpet extraction, and pressure washing concrete surfaces.
  • Facility Setup: Support event logistics by moving furniture, desks, and rugs, and setting up/breaking down event spaces.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of facilities (including schools) to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Specialized Sanitation: Apply disinfection and anti-microbial barrier technology using proper PPE and adhering to specific "dwell time" requirements.
  • Equipment Care: Operate and maintain machinery such as floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, and wet vacuums. Report any maintenance malfunctions immediately.
