About The Position

A Central Arkansas janitorial company is seeking a dedicated and experienced manager to lead janitorial operations across multiple customer sites across Central Arkansas. This role is crucial in ensuring exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, team leadership, and account retention. You’ll oversee staff performance, manage operational efficiency, and build strong, lasting client relationships.

  • Leadership & People Management Proven ability to lead diverse teams, develop staff, and build a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Operational & Industry Expertise Solid understanding of janitorial operations, cleaning best practices, budget management, and scheduling logistics.
  • Integrity & Professionalism Commitment to ethical behavior, confidentiality, and upholding safety and compliance standards. Must maintain a satisfactory criminal history to work in high security buildings.
  • Communication & Customer Focus Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Flexibility & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required
  • Tech-savvy with basic computer and smartphone proficiency
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically able to perform and demonstrate cleaning tasks when needed

Responsibilities

  • Customer Account Management & Retention
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts
  • Ensure all cleaning services meet high standards and are completed on schedule
  • Respond quickly to customer concerns, identify service gaps, and recommend solutions
  • Proactively identify and pursue account growth opportunities
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Hire, train, coach, and mentor supervisory and front-line staff
  • Motivate teams and hold them accountable for performance, professionalism, and adherence to company standards
  • Provide timely feedback and handle disciplinary actions with care and documentation
  • Operational Management
  • Develop and execute efficient cleaning plans tailored to each site
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and timekeeping systems
  • Monitor labor budgets and ensure operational costs align with financial goals
  • Conduct routine inspections to guarantee cleanliness, safety, and quality standards
  • Adjust resources and plans to address absenteeism or changing client needs
  • Inventory & Resource Control
  • Oversee the usage, tracking, and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Manage keys and access devices to customer buildings responsibly
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with customers, employees, and leadership
  • Keep employees informed of client needs and changes
  • Support other managers with hiring, training, and new account setups
  • Maintain confidentiality with client and employee records at all times
