The Janitorial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the facilities. The role involves performing various cleaning responsibilities to ensure the building is presentable and operational for employees and visitors.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
1+ years Previous experience in commercial janitorial work required
Must complete OSHA required training for custodians upon hire

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
Night staff also dusts and clean surfaces, including desks, windows and furniture
Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
Cleaning of cafeteria equipment before and after breakfast and lunch rush.
Night staff organizes tables and chairs in cafeteria at days end
Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
Spot cleaning of door and window glass
Have an understanding of inventory levels and replenishment needs
Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Services Manager
Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and meetings
