About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, provide a safe, clean, facility through various janitorial cleaning duties within The Midnight Mission facilities, excluding the courtyard restrooms. Sweep and mop floors, collect and dispose of trash, re-stock dispensers as needed, wash walls, clean and sanitize face bowls, urinals, toilets and showers after each use, and provide towels and hygiene items to guests showering. Provide friendly customer service to guests' inquiries.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Collect Trash from Administrative areas
Routine clean-up
Light floor and carpet maintenance: vacuum and mop
Maintain hard surface floors with buffing machine.
Clean walls and other hard surfaces
Water plants in foyer and administrative areas
Assist with various projects as required
Ability to project a professional demeanor and exercise mature judgement
Engagement and rapport building skills with guests, volunteers, and participants
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals of diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties with minimum supervision.

Availability to work evening and weekends as requested by management, and based on the operational needs of the program
