About The Position
This position is responsible for the daily custodial (janitorial) services of Zoo grounds and buildings.
Requirements
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Ability to work 5 days a week, including weekends
- Must have knowledge of janitorial techniques and equipment and possess skills to operate small equipment
- Possess basic knowledge of various cleaning chemicals used in janitorial areas
- Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record to maintain zoo standards of insurability
- 1-2 years experience in janitorial field
Responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of exhibit buildings, staff offices, restrooms, Zoo grounds and dumpster areas
- Assist in maintaining custodial equipment
- Assist with recycling program
- Support and assist with special events and after-hours functions as required
