About The Position

The Account Manager at Marsden South oversees a team of General Cleaners, Porters and Floor Techs for a key account in Melbourne, FL 32901. Through strong communication and company support, the Account Manager will focus on these key areas: Leadership - Demonstrate leadership and retaining the right people to support the growth of our account. Requirements

  • Ability to manage and train teams on hazardous waste handling procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and coaching, as well as the ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills

  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems

  • 1-3 years of leadership experience leading a team in a Janitorial, distribution services, manufacturing, mechanical or other service-related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership with responsibility for a decentralized workforce
  • Hands-on experience in a janitorial capacity
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Previous management experience required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages team of General Cleaners/Floor Techs
  • Develops and maintains relationships of trust and engagement with on-site client
  • Ensures standards for service quality, equipment, safety and performance are maintained and that cost-effective resources are used to maximize service standards
  • Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Makes recommendations and implements solutions.
  • Builds a culture of work safety and leads by example with one's own safe behavior
  • Hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with Company policy. Consults with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition as appropriate
  • Conducts regular operations staff / training meetings with all direct reports
  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively
  • Uses Microsoft Office-based cost management system to audit budget for account, which include: labor, supplies, leases and equipment
