About The Position

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Janitor to join their Scranton, PA Team. The company prides itself on supporting the mission of the warfighter. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining order in all restrooms, offices, stairwells, walking thru ways, halls, break rooms, and cafeterias within the Forge, Heat Treat, Production, and Machine Shop areas.

Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Ability to use sanitizer and bleach products
Ability to follow Work Instructions, Basic Rules of Manufacturing, General Dynamics OTS Environmental, and other work related policies

Responsibilities

Constantly cleans restrooms by means of sweeping, mopping and bending to scrub and wipe all surfaces
Regularly refills soap and paper containers, and hand sanitizers
Removes trash by lifting and carrying garbage bags from area of responsibility to onsite dumpsters
Constantly cleans breakrooms, locker rooms, offices
Works with and follows one or more Work Instructions, Basic Rules of Manufacturing, General Dynamics OTS Environmental, and other work related policies
Must be able to use sanitizer and bleach products
Other duties as assigned
