About The Position
Peninsula Post-Acute is seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors, with a focus on laundry operations and general housekeeping duties within our post-acute care facility. This role is essential in ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our residents while upholding infection control standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to seek assistance when needed.
- No specific certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a consistent supply of clean linen for the proper care and comfort of all residents.
- Maintain all linens in good repair by promptly removing any items with holes and/or stains from service.
- Cleaning resident rooms and recreational areas.
- Sanitizing and polishing bathrooms.
- Cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, buffing, and disinfecting floors.
- Removing trash and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Deodorize and disinfect according to established policies and protocols.
