About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time night janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our office facility located in Wayne, Michigan. This role is ideal for someone looking for consistent evening work in a quiet, professional environment.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and follow a routine schedule
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks and requires long periods of standing
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or office setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and offices
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, counters, and windowsills
- Wipe down and disinfect high touch surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, etc.)
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored properly
- Clean glass doors, entryways, and internal windows as needed
- Respond to routine cleaning requests from staff or supervisors.
- Secure the facility upon completion of shift
- Dust and clean high or hard to reach surfaces (vents, light fixtures, ceiling corners door trim, etc.)
- Clean and disinfect office chairs, partitions, and under desk areas
- Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen/break room appliances
