About The Position

The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in a federal facility while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. This role requires flexibility, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial services
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and equipment
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be able to pass background check (Position is in Federal Facility)
• Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
• Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs., walking, standing, squatting, kneeling frequently

Responsibilities

• Some basic janitorial reporting like, cleaning inspections, inventory, and others
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing
• Clean windows and mirrors, and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash cans
• Maintain cleaning cart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Organize janitorial storages areas
• Notify Supervisors about unsafe or concerning conditions that need repairs or maintenance
• Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping/moping floor, and tile cleaning
