About The Position

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across facility spaces. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. The Janitor performs daily cleaning duties, minor maintenance tasks, and responds to service requests as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, and other common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate equipment and materials.
• Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and other waste materials.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs and reporting facility issues.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning agents according to guidelines.
• Support setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or facility functions.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
