Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a J3X Space Control Planner SME to Support our customer at USSPACECOM. This position will provide Space Control Planning support to USSPACECOM Special Operations Integration Branch. Conduct Electromagnetic Survey (ES) and Electromagnetic Attack (EA) space planning in support of Special Operations Forces and USSPACECOM Operations, Activities and Investments (OAIs), participate in planning teams, produce space control planning products and deliverables to include. What you will be doing: Provide subject matter expertise in SOF and space functions supporting BPLAN 7130 execution and similar space support to SOCOM, Theater, and Coalition Special Operations Forces (SOF) missions worldwide. Be familiar with relevant CJCS CONPLAN, USSC Campaign Plan 7000, USSC CONPLAN 7100, USSC CONPLAN 7130, CPOC SOP and other SOF and Space Operations guiding plans and documents. Utilize subject matter expertise in SOF and Space domains to conduct space support planning for SOF missions, including both âwarm startsâ (prior warning of possible event known) and in âcold startâ (event occurs without prior warning) crisis action. Provide subject matter expertise, leveraging expert-level understanding of US space systems capable of electromagnetic survey (ES) and electromagnetic attack (EA), to optimize their support of and incorporation into SOF mission planning. Use data from database systems (FADE as an example) and from deployed space ES and EA systems (MIGS and CCS as examples) to conduct ES analysis to determine Red and environmental space activities and electromagnetic interference (EMI) are or have the potential to impact SOF operations. Provide space control planning support, centered on ES and EA, for SOIB approval, to be incorporated into SOF missions supporting SPACECOM Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs). Propose mitigation strategies for SOF customer and SOIB approval, to include EA and SAP/STO capabilities to ensure SOF missions supporting SPACECOM are not impacted by Red and environmental space activities and EMI. Participate in planning teams to produce space control planning products for SOF customer and SOIB approval. Products and deliverables will most frequently be in Word, Excel or PowerPoint formats and be a mixture of graphics with narrative explanation(s). The contractor will frequently be required to brief their products in person, over the phone or on video teleconferences (VTCs). Ability to originate new space control ideas, projects, and methodologies. Execution of space control planning tasks as requested by the SOF customer and SOIB â to support tactical through strategic planning and operations. Coordinate with Intelligence and Interagency partners as required to achieve support objectives. When required by the Government, provide support during non-standard hours to support mission requirements. Non-standard hours may include: night shift, swing shift, weekends, and Federal holidays; and on rare occasions may extend for several days. The Contractor may be required to travel CONUS in support of (3) one-week duration missions and (1) one-week exercise. OCONUS travel may also be requested on a very limited basis.
