Prepares medications such as emulsions, liquids, ointments, and powders for the intravenous mixing or compounding procedures. Assists in most aspects of pharmacy practices as allowed by rules and regulations. Creates prescription labels, especially for auxiliary or cautionary labels. Maintains inventory, arranges orders for drugs and supplies, checks them upon arrival, and replaces inventory near expiration. Must adhere to USP 797 Clean Room compliance, or other current regulatory guidelines to maintain sterility standards. Leads and directs the work of others. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Communication and extensive attention to detail are required while completing tasks. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five years of experience in discipline.
  • Computer and communication skills.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Licensure in consideration with state regulations.
