About The Position

The Nurse Scholar Program is designed to support and develop future registered nurses. This application is open for students enrolled in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Indiana University to join the Nurse Scholar Program in Summer 2026. Please review Eligibility Requirements below before submitting the application. This application will close on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 11:59 pm. Participants will receive financial support for semesters left in school in exchange for an RN work commitment upon graduation and licensure. Note: There is no work commitment while in school. The work commitment begins after graduation and successful completion of the NCLEX. The length of the commitment is based on the amount of funding received while in the Nurse Scholar Program. Participants must maintain academic progress and program eligibility throughout their time in the program. Failure to do so will result in removal from the program and may require repayment of scholarship funds received. As an IU Health Nurse Scholar, you are guaranteed an RN role upon graduation. Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at an Indiana University campus.
  • Must have no more than 4 semesters remaining to complete the undergraduate nursing program.
  • Must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into the nursing program via official transcript and/or letter of acceptance. If these items are not submitted in the application, please keep an eye out for an email from [email protected] requesting these items.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship during school and after obtaining RN licensure.
