About The Position

The IT Analyst - Quality provides technical support as required within multiple domains (i.e., Infrastructure, Applications or Security), and provides project and operational support as required. The IT Analyst - Quality works under close supervision of lead analysts, and is responsible for executing tasks in support of developing business, functional and technical requirements and assisting to translate those requirements into detailed design documents. In this role, the IT Analyst - Quality is committed to using existing knowledge from prior experience to contribute to a variety of project and operational support activities in order to gain a broad and diverse experience with ITS technical areas. The IT Analyst - Quality performs hands-on development, and is accountable for supporting or executing tasks as directed. IT Analyst - Quality analyst is expected to provide energetic and enthusiastic support for a variety of IT functions and projects, while gaining specific experience that can be applicable to either a functional or a technical path forward within ITS.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Understand software development lifecycle.
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analysis level tools for: activity diagrams, use cases, and associated tools for process mapping and/or technical documentation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in can quality is preferred.
  • Experience with Infinity is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the documentation of technical and functional specifications.
  • Support the documentation of business and system requirements.
  • Support research and planning activities, under the guidance of technical and functional analysts, for software and system choices to meet business needs
  • Participate in planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analyses, new systems design, detailed project workplan and effort development, and implementation timelines
  • Support the documentation of future systems requirements gathered via interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios.
  • Deepens knowledge of the application portfolio and its correlation to the support of business process execution.
  • Develops an understanding of industry best practices that are relevant to the particular area of focus for the assigned technology area.
  • Understand the role of third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners, and consultants and work closely with them to execute assigned work.
  • Assist the team to execute acceptance testing requirements for existing and new business systems and modules.
  • Develop an understanding of system configuration practices, and how those configurations support the execution of work within a business process.
  • Demonstrate an ability to document configuration accurately and completely, in such a manner that supports ongoing maintenance of the related application solutions.

  • Hybrid On-Site Work Environment: Based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). [Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.]
  • Hiring Salary Range: $66,700 - $93,160 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
