About The Position

As an ST CM&U ITR (Inquiry to Remittance) engineer, you will create technical solutions in the ITO (Inquiry to Order) phase and, eventually, manage engineering work in the OTR (Order to Remittance) phase. Our engineers are challenged and empowered to understand customer needs, think critically and creatively, use technical and project management skills, and drive success. This position will start with a heavy focus on ITO/Application Engineering. The role involves understanding customer needs, creating winning technical proposals for value-added ST CM&U offers, and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders. Future growth areas include releasing and managing ST CM&U orders, ensuring project success, and managing engineering work in the OTR phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Gas Power Edison Engineer Completion.
  • LPX, Teardown Training Progress.
  • Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate.
  • Proven strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Customer needs and create winning technical proposals for value-added ST CM&U offers.
  • Coordinate with sales, commercial, engineering, project management, compliance, sourcing, product line, field personnel and others to define scope, effort, and delivery cycle.
  • Represent engineering in discussions with customers.
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer to Engineering.
  • Conduct turbine and balance of plant studies.
  • Participate in Lean, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives.
  • Release and manage ST CM&U orders and ensure project success.
  • Coordinate and drive project schedules to maintain on-time deliverables and engineering hour budgets.
  • Manage and track Bill of Material, part line creation, part definition and ordering.
  • Create Field Modification Instructions and support installation planning, outage activities and related technical field issues.
  • Serve as the interface between GE Project Managers and engineering teams.
