About The Position

The Experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter is an experienced position. Having a go-getter attitude, good attendance, and the desire to grow is vital to the success of this position. [This position includes both residential (plastic) systems and commercial (steel) systems, which can be alternated as needed.]

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Blazemaster, OSHA 10, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.
This job requires that you can read, write, and speak English.
It is required to have the ability to comprehend instructions and written correspondence and read lists and reports.
This job requires using Paycom, Outlook, Service Trade, and Device Magic, as well as a basic knowledge of mobile devices for communication.
Ability to troubleshoot system failures to determine cause and scope of work for repairs
Ability to provide detailed notes on make, model, and types of parts to allow for efficient execution of the proposed scope of work.
Basic math skills are a necessity. The ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in unstandardized situations.
This job requires standing, walking, and sitting; using hands and arms to reach, climb, and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear; lifting up to 100 lbs; and having clear color vision.
Standing: Remains standing to perform various job functions.
Climbing: ascending and descending ladders and the like.
Crouching: Bending the body downward or forward by bending the leg and spine.
Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
Lifting: Raises or lowers tools and piping.
Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
Vision: visual acuity to be thorough and accurate in the work assigned.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
Talking: Communicating by phone and in person.
Walking and moving about on foot.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints.
Have a working knowledge of some or all of the following documents: NFPA 13D, 13R, 13 and 25.
Have a professional attitude and appearance.
Interface with customers and superintendents.
Is am a motivated self-starter.
Able to work independently and give and follow directions.
Have a working knowledge of steel piping and CPVC (both are required).
Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
Prove a minimum of 2-3 years of full-time experience in the trade.
A clean driving record is a plus.
Be a part of the 24/hr. on-call rotation. Accepting after-hour emergency calls.
Reliable and predictable attendance is required for the function of this job.
