Under broad supervision, coordinates, diagnoses and troubleshoots incoming employee calls. Provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Provides timely resolution of moderately complex problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Supports and maintains effective relationships with users. May develop or document standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to IT support. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience. The 11 groups include Medical, Water, Foodservice Technologies, Retail Solutions, Transportation Products, Rail & Leasing, Electrical, Plumbing & Refrigeration, Metal Services, Industrial Products, & Crane Services. General Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Technologist to support and maintain the Epicor ERP system in our Eagan office. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Epicor, including production-critical hardware and software, industrial networks, and end-user support. A focus will be developing EcoWater’s ERP(Epicor) knowledge to become a local resource for users at EcoWater. There is also a desktop setup component of this role to support local needs.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 years of Epicor experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and networked storage (NAS/SAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Willingness to work onsite in a professional office environment and occasionally outside of standard business hours for system maintenance or emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Epicor System Administration and Support : Administer and maintain the Epicor ERP system, including user setup, role-based access configuration, and ongoing monitoring to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to Epicor applications, dashboards, reports, and integrations; escalate complex problems to senior IT teams or Epicor support as needed.
  • Customization and Optimization : Customize Epicor modules (e.g., using BAQs, SSRS, BPMs) to meet business requirements; develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and workflows for enhanced data visibility and efficiency.
  • Upgrades and Integrations : Support Epicor upgrades, patches, and integrations with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, HRIS, manufacturing shop floor tools); conduct testing and documentation for change management.
  • Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles; collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, operations) to align IT solutions with business goals.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support for Eagan: Provide support for PCs, scanners, printers and onsite hands-on setup and support as needed, after all MSP options are exhausted.
