About The Position

As an IT Technician at Sand Valley, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. This includes installing, maintaining, and optimizing technology to enhance team efficiency. You’ll also play a key role in training staff on how to use IT systems safely and effectively. Your contributions will directly support the overall efficiency and sustainability of our technology infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of the business as it evolves.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of IT experience, demonstrating proficiency in troubleshooting and support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the IT department, helping to keep processes organized and efficient.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize local networks to ensure seamless operations across the resort.
  • Set up workstations, ensuring team members have the necessary hardware, such as computers, printers, and routers, to perform their best work.
  • Assist with installing, configuring, and providing ongoing support for desktop computers and software to ensure team productivity.
  • Manage the IT Helpdesk system, efficiently logging, tracking, and prioritizing requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Respond to tech support requests via phone, email, or in person, troubleshooting issues with PCs, laptops, networks, printers, TVs, phones, remote access, and file sharing.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems, providing effective solutions while maintaining a strong focus on security and privacy.
  • Stay informed about the technology needs of each department, understanding the software and hardware that supports their operations.
  • Assist with system upgrades and scheduled maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to daily business activities.
  • Maintain and track technology inventory, proactively supporting the need for upgrades or replacements.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed, collaborating with the IT team and other departments to ensure the technology needs of the organization are met.
