About The Position

An IT Technician will assist all of our IT needs. You will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues. You should have an in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies. You will also have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service. Must currently hold or have the ability to obtain a CDL Class B license with School Bus, Passenger, and Air Brake endorsements within 90 days of hire. Training will be provided to assist in obtaining the required license and endorsements.

  • Operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, & iOS
  • Software: Google workspace products, GenAI Platforms, Patch Management and Vulnerability Software, Windows Administration tools, Domain Servers
  • Network Administration: Managing User accounts, Configuring Network devices,
  • Automation Configuration
  • Scripting / or programming: Powershell, CMD, Bash, Python, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript
  • Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
  • Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in the IT support field.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent telephone, verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Ability to move and transfer objects, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the site.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach objects overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the site for an entire shift.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a site (e.g., dolly, hand truck, computer, printer).
  • Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required training.
  • Ability to travel as required in support of site and regional needs.
  • Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include:
  • Working knowledge of phones, computers, and electronic data processing to include Google Drive and Internet experience.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an IT Technician is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Installing security measures on devices.
  • Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
  • Install desktops, portable computers, peripherals, and software products for networked, and standalone environments.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple computers, printers, multi-printers, and peripherals
  • Printer Configuration and Management
  • Maintaining databases for digital and hardware assets
  • Hardware lifecycle Management
  • Detect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve desktop and portable computer software and hardware failures.
  • Provide users with information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable computer hardware and software.
  • Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Analyze and assess customer service requests and provide prompt technical solutions.
  • Communicate/keep supervisor updated with current tasks.
  • Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/updating/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Proficient in managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
  • Effectively communicate with others by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.
  • Able to schedule and set priorities for work to be accomplished.
