About The Position

The IT Technician I assists in the installation, setup, coordination, and maintenance of information systems and related IT equipment for all casino properties. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, operating systems, audio/visual equipment, Point of Sale (POS) systems, voice and data networks, and emerging technologies, along with a solid understanding of casino and IT operations. This position demands proficiency in operating PCs and related software, voice, video, and sound systems, as well as strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Responsibilities include servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer equipment, configuring networks, managing inventory, and prioritizing tasks under pressure while ensuring confidentiality and adaptability to changing shifts. Position starts at $31.04/hr and increases to $32.72/hr at the successful completion of 90-day orientation period. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of experience in an MIS environment for a company of comparable size and MIS needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues, setup, network, and maintain POS systems.
  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
  • All applicants must obtain a Class III A license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
  • Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related training in a technology related discipline preferred.
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots all assigned computer hardware and related equipment.
  • Addresses and resolves routine user issues including unlocking accounts and resetting passwords.
  • Provides initial end user computer hardware and software support.
  • Ensures proper installation and configuration of all assigned equipment.
  • Ensures proper installation and configuration of all casino software products.
  • Assists with the installation and cabling of new voice and data connections and related equipment.
  • Performs regular inspections and routine maintenance for data rooms including data switches, connections, and related equipment.
  • Assists with upgrades, new system builds, and workstation maintenance.
  • Ensures all IT equipment meets Casino standards.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of IT equipment and related media.
  • Repairs and services all equipment as needed.
  • Provides initial emergency and on call support.
