RETTEW is seeking an Assistant IT Technician Intern to support our Information Technology and Security Team. This is an internship opportunity for a student who wants hands-on experience in corporate IT while learning how technology supports engineering and consulting operations. Position Summary / What You’ll Do As an Assistant IT Technician Intern, you will support daily IT operations by helping prepare systems, troubleshoot basic technical issues, maintain documentation, and provide customer support to internal users. This role is a strong foundation for anyone interested in IT support, infrastructure, or technology operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; currently enrolled in an IT, computer science, or related program preferred
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through to completion

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Prior internship, part-time IT support, or technical troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, imaging, and deploying new computer systems and peripheral equipment
  • Help maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for desktop hardware, operating systems, and common applications
  • Support Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Assist users on-site and remotely via phone, email, and remote support tools
  • Maintain accurate and complete Helpdesk tickets
  • Help prepare and update documentation and user guides
  • Support onboarding and basic IT training efforts
  • Communicate progress on assigned tasks and follow established IT procedures
