About The Position

The IT Technical Writer provides technical editing support for the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract to administer, maintain, secure, and accredit the DLIFLC Academic Network, which provides the IT environment for 100% of the DLIFLC teaching and instructing for all students, staff, faculty, and guests in a learning environment at the unclassified level.

Requirements

• AA/AS from an accredited college or university, or substitute with 3+ years experience with any one of the following IAT Level I (A+ CE, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA Security) and CE/OS Certification.
• Solid understanding of IT concepts, ability to translate into technical software documentation.
• Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develops, writes, and edits materials for reports, manuals, briefs, technical specifications, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures.
• Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Wiki, and GitLab for technical writing and UI text.
