About The Position

The IT Tech Analyst serves primarily as a project team member in the review of project, design, and technical deliverables.

  • 1 year programming experience, or successful participation in the Tech Youth Program

Responsibilities

  • Develop patch maintenance schedules to meet internal requirements to maintain compliance for OS, Browser and 3rd party software updates.
  • Schedule maintenance windows for internal deployments, following all change management processes.
  • Create pre- and post-patch reports and be able to present results to management, when needed.
  • Create knowledge articles to document software patch deployment and remediation tasks.
  • Complete emergency (zero day) patch deployments.
  • Complete moves, adds, and changes for maintenance collections and deployments.
  • Monitor and remediate patching activity across a range of maintenance schedules.
  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of software patches.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the client and organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent Patch Management activities.
  • Perform routine audits of patching activity to confirm all updates are being applied and reported correctly.
  • Participate in routine audits to record patch levels and create reports to meet compliance.
  • Update and maintain technical documentation for projects and assignments using the appropriate tools and deliverables.
  • Proactively researches, identifies, and resolves issues and/or code as necessary.
  • Participates in the implementation of software programs, platform solutions, etc.
  • Participate in release activities and on-call rotations as needed.
  • Part of a team that is involved in code reviews and unit testing efforts.
  • Works with team to respond to and answer questions generated by internal IT teams.
  • Creates and maintains automated test scripts, system documentation, run books, and/or manuals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
