About The Position

Cimarron is seeking an IT Team Coordinator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area. Key Duties : Directly support the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) team. Guide functional teams in managing roadmap objectives and maturing Agile practices. Partner closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and functional teams to ensure delivery of project objectives. Empower teams by removing obstacles, supporting professional growth, and fostering continuous improvement. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning and Sprint Reviews. Support the RTE with backlog administration, Program Increment Planning, Reviews, and standups. Proactively identify, track, and help remove impediments while shielding teams from external distractions. Serve as an Agile coach, promoting collaboration, transparency, and accountability. Ensure clear communication between development teams, product owners, and stakeholders. Track, analyze, and visualize team performance metrics and delivery progress. Collaborate with Project Managers, matrixed resources, and functional teams to meet customer expectations and roadmap timelines. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports reflecting schedules, resources, backlog status, and priorities. Ensure accurate backlog representation and alignment within project management tools. Utilize MDA-approved tools such as Microsoft Teams, Planner, Project, Jira, and GitLab. Support business operations by acting as an alternate to the Business Operations Manager. Assist with onboarding, offboarding, access coordination, seating logistics, and morale-building activities.

Requirements

  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher) with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • 2 or more years of directly related experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience managing onboarding and offboarding of personnel within an organization.
  • Ability to own and manage large, multi-team coordinated efforts.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and government partners.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork across multiple teams in a large, complex environment.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and take initiative to solve problems.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to support and enable team success.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of, or strong interest in learning, Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to or experience supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning events.
  • Familiarity with core Scrum Master principles.
  • Experience in roles requiring coordination across multiple teams or departments.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
  • Experience supporting shared resource coordination across functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
