IT Systems Service Technician - BYU Salt Lake Center This position is responsible for the technical support of students, staff, and faculty at the BYU Salt Lake Center. It provides a unique opportunity to gain technical experience troubleshooting hardware issues, assist with library functions, and can provide a great foundation for a career in IT. Note: This is a part-time position (28) hours per week.

Requirements

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
  • At least one year part-time or full-time computer support experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ computer support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students, staff, and faculty with computer, multimedia, and library needs at BYU Salt Lake Center
  • Assure the security of all computer and other technology-related equipment.
  • Assist faculty in remote delivery of class content.
  • Troubleshoot technology-related issues.
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of computer hardware and software
  • Update software.
  • Image computers.
  • Web content updates.
  • Assist with duties of library circulation desk environment
