About The Position

IT Systems & Network Administrator: As the IT Systems & Network Administrator you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and Network. This includes supporting hardware, server backups, and server security.

Requirements

  • Computer degree with three or more years of experience providing Level 1 or above help desk support in IT operations.
  • Oral and written communication, professional, and interpersonal skills.
  • Assist customers in person, on phone, and live chat, email, social media, and web form submissions.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Patience for dealing with difficult customer service situations.
  • Work in a 24/7 environment.
  • Utilize various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Server and computer hardware and software and associated network equipment operations.
  • Windows operating systems platform, Windows server and client operating systems.
  • Sophos anti-virus software.
  • Active Directory and Office 365 experience.
  • Intrusion detection and prevention software.
  • Server monitoring/performance tools.
  • Attention to detail and follow-through is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
  • Implements and maintains firewall policies, VPN configurations, and network access controls while continuously monitoring traffic to detect and mitigate security threats.
  • Administer, install, and troubleshoot a variety of operating systems.
  • Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance.
  • Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades.
  • Configure software and resolves technical problems.
  • Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager.
