About The Position

Cimarron is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado. Key Duties : Design and develop new IT solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the MDSEA Platform. Initiate projects and manage requirements, tasks, and development of Technical Baseline artifacts. Document system designs and create implementation and test plans for sustainment teams. Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system integration and compliance. Partner with Project Managers to develop artifacts that support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.

  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a management or leadership position.
  • 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.
  • Provide leadership and oversight in support of IT system architecture and design efforts.
  • Develop and edit DoDAF or UAF architecture products for Department of Defense IT systems.
  • Design IT infrastructure systems, including identity management, virtualization, storage, networking, and compute resources.
  • Decompose complex IT systems into manageable, clearly defined components.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans for deploying new IT solutions and systems.
  • Manage system requirements and apply knowledge of the Systems Engineering V Model.
  • Troubleshoot IT system issues and apply critical thinking to assess dependencies, impacts, and long-term sustainability.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret Security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a STEM discipline.
