About The Position

The IT Systems Engineer / Project Manager will support and advance our organization’s technology environment. This role combines hands-on systems engineering, project leadership, and end-user support. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing and implementing enterprise solutions, managing technical projects, and providing responsive Tier 1 support when needed. This is a critical role responsible for maintaining operational excellence while driving continuous improvement across our IT systems.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of experience in IT systems administration or engineering
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT projects
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows environments and common business applications
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated environments (banking, finance, healthcare, etc.)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell preferred)
  • Knowledge of identity security, conditional access, and zero trust concepts
  • Experience with vendor management and third-party integrations

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT systems (Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, endpoints, identity, and security platforms)
  • Administer and optimize cloud and on-prem environments, including:
  • Identity & access management (Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA)
  • Endpoint management (Intune, device compliance, patching)
  • Email and collaboration platforms (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Monitor system performance, security posture, and availability
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead IT projects from planning through execution and completion
  • Define scope, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with stakeholders
  • Manage vendors, integrations, and third-party solutions
  • Document project plans, status updates, and post-implementation reviews
  • Identify risks and proactively mitigate issues
  • Provide responsive support for end-user issues (hardware, software, access, connectivity)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely manner
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes (account setup, device provisioning)
  • Create and maintain user-facing documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Evaluate existing IT processes and recommend improvements
  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations
  • Standardize workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Support audit and compliance initiatives through proper documentation and controls
