About The Position

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations at JFK Terminal 7, ensuring the stability and performance of key airport and corporate systems. This role serves as a liaison across internal teams and external partners, while delivering hands-on technical support and managing critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure in operations-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of data and its role in driving operational effectiveness and informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing IT projects (e.g., system rollouts, migrations, infrastructure upgrades)
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization, engaging with diverse stakeholders including Port Authority, TSA, Airlines, and the Vantage Global Security team, to ensure alignment with security and operational objectives.
  • Proven track record in vendor relationship management, encompassing contract negotiations, SLA monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of effectively engaging stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
  • Prior experience in a help desk or IT support role.
  • IT administrator knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint administration.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact in providing support to internal company end users and stakeholders.
  • Provide vendor support management, including vendor staffing, handling escalations, SLAs, and contract performance.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with terminal tenants, airlines, contractors, and agency partners including the Port Authority, CISA, TSA & CBP.
  • Lead and assist with IT projects, including implementation of new IT systems, systems upgrades, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Apply technical expertise to resolve complex problems, recommend alternatives, and clearly communicate solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, and accurately document various technical problems and resolutions (i.e. software, hardware and company specific applications)
  • Set up and maintenance of workstations (desktop and laptop), printers, and printing services.
  • Provide Network/Application troubleshooting skills
  • Supporting remote employees with remote access tools/VPN
  • Provide support and administration for various IT systems, including Airport specific IT systems (e.g., CUPPS, CUSS, FIDS, BRS)
  • Provide VoIP support, including airline and gate operations, announcement systems.
  • Perform new user IT training and communication of IT policies and standards
  • Maintaining hardware/software inventories and financial tools
  • Other duties as required or assigned from time to time.
